We were reached out by the Central Square Foundation to design their report on School Education in India. The report was heavy on content, graphs, and it was long to capture the entire subject in a holistic way.

The brief outlined the need to design a fresh perspective for the report, create all the data graphics with their brand identity, create relevant smart layouts while making efficient readability a strong aspect.

We carefully chose the relevant imagery and crafted this impressive report without taking away the attention from the content while making the report look breezy and well oriented for a perfect reading experience.

A Result of Great Team Work

A comprehensive, 450-page document was made within 30 days with 9 team members including Designer, Copywriter, Visualizer, Project Manager, Chartered Accountant, Translator & DTP Operator. With several sleepless nights, this has been a great achievement on its own. Due to the unforeseen circumstances created due to COVId-19, the entire report was developed with seamless coordination & meticulous planning virtually.

A virtual event became a success

Due to the pandemic and limitations for hosting a public gathering, Myntra took a decision to host its first-ever Virtual Event. The stakes were high as this was a special event limited only to the partners of Myntra and delivering a pitch-perfect presentation was absolutely imperative.

Experiencing delight

INK PPT in collaboration with the virtual stage design team worked day and night, leaving no stone unturned to perfect every single detail, synchronizing every slide according to the background audio and speakers' timing. We designed 3 decks for the key event while integrating Myntra’s brand essence with the touch of technology. The whole presentation was rendered in 4k which was later integrated into the virtual screen seamlessly.

Likewise the previous year, despite new experimentation of going virtual, the event turned out to be a huge success.

The layer of care

Merino Laminates is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of decorative laminates for interiors and has global recognition for being a leader in the laminates and panel industry.
Merino Laminates comprises multiple segments like Healthcare, Education & CSR.
The CSR Sustainability deck was all about showcasing what Merino does for Social welfare.

Getting the mood right

As it was related to social welfare, we looked up for companies that too had a CSR wing and were involved in social welfare activities.
Our focus was on how we can tell the audience about Merino as a company, showcasing their activities' impact on society and what changes those activities made on society as a whole.
We made sure that we present all the required facts about the company, its doings and the impact it made.

Words that defined the sustainability

We initiated the mind-mapping exercise to come up with the relevant keywords that could be used frequently in the report carrying the theme and also the vision of the company. This helped us to make the reporting experience right.

Defining the basics & crafting design routes

We defined fonts, colours, style, icons and created two options for the reports.

The first design option had a modern take on the CSR report. We chose subtle yet unique colours along with the merino brand colours to give the report a modern yet clean look. Playful iconography and Indian pictures were used to complete the design.

The second design option was inspired by the sustainable nature of work that brand merino has been doing socially & environmentally. Usage of Neutral brown paper background and serif typography gave the deck a more trustworthy & elegant feel. Images were also treated in sepia tones to match with the design language of the deck.

The Merino 2019 sustainability report

We came up with 27 unique slides having all the required information about all the activities that Merino did for social and environmental welfare. As this deck was essential for Merino, it was closely monitored & personalized by Merino’s Board of Directors. We used all the brand imagery to make it as personalized as we can.
It was a new learning experience as we got to know each and every detailing of the brand and the initiatives they took for a better society to live in.

INK PPT Case Study: Dell Sustainability Report

A concept on community, earth and their relationships

Dell was looking for a sustainability report to highlight the CSR initiatives taken by them across India in partnership with several companies/NGOs and Not-for-Profits across India. The report had to be unique, smart and beautifully designed to capture the essence of the initiatives and the social angle of the narrative.

A report with smart thematic illustrations

Since the several CSR initiatives in the report were around children, we chose the kids’ illustrations and doodles as a base theme for the report and evolved the complete concept of the report inspired from the same. Several smart and quirky illustrations were developed for every page and were used across the report, imbibing a spirit of child learning & education focus.

Inspired by nature

Being a CSR Report and talking also on the areas of planet care, we took a BOLD move and printed the report using biodegradable ink on the recycled paper developed from elephant dung making the entire report carbon neutral. We also encountered several challenges in printing the white colour as the natural white base was not available and this was nailed using a double-layered print masking technology where every printing was done twice for the pages where while colour was required to be shown for the correct representation of the graphics and design.

A report with long-lasting experience

Overall the report was well received and, the reimagined reporting experience was highly appreciated by the Indian and global leadership team at Dell EMC technologies. More than 300 physical copies of the recycled report were printed and distributed across different divisions of the organization.

Nasscom Foundation CSR Trend Report

Catalyzing Change

Nasscom Foundation came up with a requirement to create an A4, infographics driven industry initiative report to capture the numerous CSR initiatives by corporates and NGOs for catalyzing change in the country.

A team of three designers worked on the report over a span of 3 weeks to craft a compelling report with several infographics around the aspect of education and social change.

Adding life to Data with infographics

The Report consisted of numerous data-heavy pages which were translated into compelling, easy to read and interesting infographics making the data beautiful, breezy in the eyes, giving a lasting impression on the readers while adding to the experience.

A well delivered experience

The report was developed in line with the brand identity guidelines of Nasscom Foundation to follow a deep red colour and minimalistic approach. The report was well perceived and received several accolades from multiple stakeholders across the industry.

INK PPT Case Study: SIEMENS HEALTHINEER

Communication crafted with care

Siemens Healthineers India (SHI) was looking to revamp their presentations and develop a new set of brochures for India’s business. We help them create compelling decks and interesting animated slides based on their current brand look and infographic guidelines provided by them. There were several challenging slides that were loaded with heavy information and we were consulted to come up with a very simplified design system that can easily make it understandable for the audience. We took the challenge and created several interesting and meaningful iconographical representations which not only simplified the communication but also led to several high impact interactions with the intended stakeholders.

A Docket for India business

SHI wanted to prepare an India business docket comprising more than 32 pages of content, which was to be prepared without images and mostly using the captivating graphics which seamlessly stitch the entire information into a logical flow. We did strong competitive and brand research to define our mood board. This helped us in creating an A4 brochure that was smart, infographic rich and modern in its approach. A large business docket was prepared as per the requirement and aligned with the vision of the company.

Reimagining the interactions

Healthcare company decks are usually known to be heavy on information and boring. The same was not true in the case of SHI, as we reimagined the way their decks looked and started with an inside out approach to eliminate what was not necessary, splitting information that was not filling together, rewriting the existing copy smarty, and finally the smarter revisualization of the constructs. With this, we created decks, which were starkly different from the point where we started and helped clients set new benchmarks in proposals and helped them close several strategic deals.

CSF Annual Report

5 Year of education transformation

When Central Square Foundation completed 5 years, they wanted us to create a online annual report which encapsulates the 5 years of their journey and captures the key highlights while having the flavour of CSF, it also had to portray the future roadmap for the Foundation.

A theme inspired from elementary education

It was a theme with chalk styles, whiteboards, blackboards, handcrafted and customized illustrations, ink pen drawing, doodle iconography to connect the layout and document experience. The style offered an elementary education background and the report came out building a connection with the audience.

A well crafted reading experience

Being 80+ pages report, designed in CSF brand colours was a milestone. We also advised about the fabrication specification for paper, sizing, print quality etc In the end, it was a well-designed report which will be referred to for years to come and will be a memorable piece to the journey of CSF

Dealing with the COVID Complexity

When the country was at a halt while lockdown was imposed across the country, the COVID warriors ensured that every household had a regular gas supply without interruption. Our cover photo design speaks the same language and captures the essence of this year’s circumstances depicting the commitment of the brand.

IOCL has vast operations diversified into several business domains, and every part of its business had to be cover in a single representation. The same got reflected through our value creation model. The above model captured the whole business process across verticals from input to the output, from the ocean to the kitchen, from the rigs to the roads, from the deserts to the urban landscapes. We were able to encapsulate the same in the single infographic with precision. The skyline view of IOCL is just a minimalistic infographic, which also mapped the SDG goals of the United Nations.

Making the finest financial report

We started with finalizing the complete design system, which involved correct colour pallets, typography, font style, page layouts, navigation sidebar, iconography, illustrative graphics and much more complementing the brand identity of IOCL while keeping the consistency of colour and design intact.

Before even starting to work on the project, we were certain about every design element and its efficient usage to blend with the brand language.

There are Millions of stakeholders spread across the length and breadth of the country speaking more than six thousand languages, so we translated the whole report into Hindi to derive maximum value from the report and make the content more relevant.
During the project, we were able to devise a distinct concept and implement it in page snippets, which were visually simplified for easy comprehension. The business charts allowed the reader to grasp the information after a single glance making the creative annual report interesting and more reader-friendly.
